The Mt. Magazine station planning began back in November 2007 when blueprints were made of it looking similar to the rest of the buildings in the state park. However, the cost was a little more than expected and the whole thing was redone with a metal building. That is what was built. The construction phase of the project began back in the fall of 2008 and continued throughout the spring of 2009. The station was finished in June 2009. The station can house as many as three fire trucks and has an office, bathroom, and a storage room as well. The station houses two trucks 1808 and 1809.
